sticker!

Kinja'd!!!

Im not sure I'm huge on where I put it, so I just ordered another one. For 4 bucks shipped, I'm fine with it.

Bonus picture: I also debadged the "Focus" word this weekend since I felt it didn't really fit with the rest of the fonts.

for those of you in NYC, good luck with the heat/humidity today. I'll be dreading the subway. ST's staying in the garage, out of the heat today.

howd u do the debadging. I'd like to take some of what almost appears as a small novel off the back of my WRX. Did it leave any marks on the paint?

You can use a blowdryer to heat the emblems up to loosen the adhesive, and then use fishing line to remove. Then goo gone any leftovers. Or if the car has been in the sun all day, you can probably go straight to the fishing line. Leaves no marks.

it just sounds too easy and that makes me nervous. Usually if things sound too easy it ends up in a mess and i'll be repainting my car.

I went at it with a couple pieces of dental floss, which took minimal effort. The remaining adhesive I peeled off with my fingers, and what I couldn't get off with my fingers I used some WD-40 (goo gone works great too, but I didn't have any on hand.) After all the residue was gone, took some quick detailer on a cloth , and then a bit of wax around the area. If you leave the car in the sun for a bit, it may make it even easier. Took me literally 10 mins and no hair dryer or heat gun.

haha I promise it was really easy. I was worried too, but said fuck it. It worked like a charm and didn't scratch or mar anything up. I accidentally ended up breaking the emblem in half after it was off the car, but it was fragile and I have no plans to put it back on anyway, or just order a new one. But that has nothing to do with the simplicity of this awesome mod.

The only thing that sucks is when you attempt to debadge something, don't research, and the badges have mounting pegs instead of attached with adhesive.

Unless you're car has been resprayed for any reason, you should be good to go on removing your badges. It really is easy, quick, and I still haven't done it to my ST yet. D'oh.

I used ot work at an aftermarkets parts store for trucks. Rolling coal wasn;t a thing back then so I dont know but doubt they would do that as its a pretty respectable place. The main items were intakes exhaust tool boxes ladder racks, tube steps..... One guy was installing one of the visors that go over a windshield with the orange running lights. He had extra caulk on there so he used paint thinner to remove it. That did not end well and the shop ended up having to pay to repain the guys hood. Thats what i'm afraid i'll end up with the goo gone or wd40.

My car being a black WRX i'm guessing the sun will help

totally understand your worries. Just wipe it off with some spray wax, and you'll be good. As long as it doesn't sit on the paint for hours it won't harm. It's main goal is to dissolve adhesives and lubricate, where as paint thinner is literally meant to kill paint. You'll be all good!

I'll try to keep an eye out for it whenever I'm in that part of the city. Maybe one day you'll come across mine, a Palladium silver C300 with Oppo on the rear windshield.
